Be You Daily is a mental wellness application provided by Foothills Counseling, LLC (“Foothills Counseling,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy and want you to understand how information is handled when you use Be You Daily.

Information Stored on Your Device

The current version of Be You Daily is designed primarily as a local-first application. Information you choose to enter or save may include:

• Selected mental wellness support areas
• Teen or Adult content preference
• Reminder preferences
• Saved favorites and coping tools
• Mood check-ins
• Trusted-contact information
• Information you enter into your personal support plan

In the current version of Be You Daily, this information is stored locally on your device and is not intended to be transmitted to Foothills Counseling, LLC.

Be You Daily does not currently require you to create a user account.

Sensitive Information

Some information you choose to enter, particularly mood information, trusted-contact information, or information in your personal support plan, may be sensitive.

Because this information is stored locally, anyone who has access to your device or browser profile may potentially be able to access it. Do not enter information you would not want another person with access to your device to see.

Notifications

Be You Daily may request permission to send local notifications, such as a reminder that your Daily 3 is available. Notification permission is optional and can be changed through your device settings.

Be mindful that notification content may be visible on your device's lock screen depending on your device settings.

Analytics, Advertising, and Sale of Personal Information

The current version of Be You Daily does not use behavioral advertising and is not designed to sell your personal information.

The current release is not designed to transmit your locally stored wellness information to Foothills Counseling for advertising or analytics purposes.

If future versions introduce analytics, cloud storage, user accounts, synchronization, advertising, or other services that change how information is collected or transmitted, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

Mental Health and Wellness Information

Be You Daily provides educational and wellness information. Use of the app does not establish a therapist-client, healthcare-provider, or other treatment relationship with Foothills Counseling, LLC or any of its clinicians.

Be You Daily is not intended to diagnose a mental health or medical condition and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, therapy, or treatment.

Crisis and Emergency Information

Be You Daily is not an emergency or crisis-response service and does not monitor users for safety.

If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

If you are in the United States and experiencing a mental health, suicide, or substance-use crisis, you can call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Be You Daily cannot contact emergency services or another person on your behalf.

Data Retention and Deletion

Information stored locally remains on your device until it is removed through the application's available controls, your device or application data is cleared, or the application is uninstalled, depending on the device and operating system.

Be You Daily includes controls that allow users to clear locally stored app information.

Because the current version does not provide a Be You Daily cloud account, Foothills Counseling generally does not possess a remote account containing this locally stored information to delete on your behalf.

Children's Privacy

Be You Daily is currently designed for teens and adults and is not intended to be directed to young children.

Parents and guardians should consider whether the app is appropriate for a teen's individual circumstances and should discuss mental health concerns with an appropriate qualified professional when needed.

Third-Party Services and Links

Be You Daily may provide links or actions that connect you to external services, including telephone, text messaging, emergency services, and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Once you leave Be You Daily or interact with another service, that service's privacy practices may apply.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Be You Daily changes. When material changes are made, the effective date of this policy will be updated.

Users are encouraged to review this policy periodically.
